Pondering the Folly: The DŽsert de Retz and Its Legacy

The Désert de Retz is the supreme surviving example of the 18th century folly garden in France. The exhibition combined 18th century prints of the garden and other historical material with 20th century images by noted landscape photographer Michael Kenna.

Accompanying lecture included:
