Paradise Now: Picturing the Genetic Revolution

39 artists give shape & form to the complex & abstract ideas driving genetic research through their paintings, photographs, videos, installations & sculpture. They raise questions about the social, ecological, economic & ethical implications of science’s breakthroughs. These works investigate urgent issues & concerns triggered by the modification of human cells, nature & food, & provide viewers with an opportunity to pay closer attention to the dramatic advances of science & to reflect upon the boundaries between science & the human imagination.
