Emilie de Hoa LeBlanc

Emilie de Hoa LeBlanc was born in New Orleans on June 17, 1870 of Creole decent. She was awarded a Diploma of Art from Newcomb College in 1897, continuing in the program as a Graduate Art student in the 1897–99 academic sessions. The 1900–01 Tulane catalogue lists her as a pottery worker. Her sister, Marie de Hoa LeBlanc also worked for the Pottery. On June 8, 1921, the Tulane Board of Administrators retroactively awarded Emilie de Hoa LeBlanc a Bachelor of Design. The 1920 census listed her as a high school art teacher. Emilie de Hoa LeBlanc died at home on November 24, 1941.
