Cora Lautze studied printmaking as an undergraduate at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She moved to New Orleans in 2012 with her printmaking partner, Julian Wellisz, and started a print production called “What Editions.” Lautze’s interest in process, production, labor, and collaboration, which led her to start a print production, are all guiding themes within her own art practice. Lautze’s current body of work examines and articulates various processes that require exceptional amounts of labor, not just by her, but also by her tools and materials. She completed an MFA in printmaking at Tulane University May, 2019.
